Frequently asked questions
How is the picture found?
The video is checked at five moments, a few frames each: rows and columns whose average brightness is below the threshold count as bars. The frames found are combined, so a dark scene at one moment does not cut into the picture.
The bars were not removed — what should I do?
Sometimes the bars are not black but dark gray. Choose high sensitivity: then lighter edges count as bars too. If subtitles or a logo sit on a bar, the bar may stay so that they are not cut off.
