Files never leave your device

Remove EXIF, the GPS location and other hidden data from JPG, PNG and WebP photos before you post or send them: see what the file reveals — camera, date and place — and get a clean copy. The picture itself is not re-encoded, so quality does not change.

How it works

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photo or drag it onto the page.
  2. Check what was found in the file: camera, date taken, location and other data.
  3. Click Remove metadata and download the clean photo in the same format.

Frequently asked questions

Does the photo lose quality?

No. Only the metadata blocks are cut out; the compressed image data is copied byte for byte. The colour profile is kept so colours stay the same, and if the camera recorded a rotation, only that flag is left so the photo doesn’t turn sideways.

Which formats are supported?

JPG, PNG and WebP. HEIC and AVIF are not supported yet: convert them to JPG first — the location is not carried over to the converted file.

Is it free?

Yes. All tools are free, with no sign-up and no watermarks.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
