How it works
- Choose a PNG, SVG, JPG or WebP logo — ideally square and at least 512×512 px — or drag it onto the page.
- Choose how the image fits the square, the padding, the background and theme colours and, if you like, the app name.
- Click Create favicon, download the ZIP archive and copy the HTML code for your site.
Frequently asked questions
Which files are in the archive?
favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px), favicon-16x16.png and favicon-32x32.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180 px, always on a solid background), android-chrome-192x192.png and android-chrome-512x512.png, maskable-icon-512x512.png, site.webmanifest and favicon-tags.html with the code for the page head. For an SVG source the original favicon.svg is added as well.
Which image works best?
A square logo of at least 512×512 px with a transparent background, or an SVG: it is drawn sharply at every size. A non-square image is either fitted whole with margins or cropped to fill the square. Fine details vanish at 16 px, so a simple, bold symbol looks best.
