How it works

Frequently asked questions
Will the sound distort if I make it much louder?
Raising the volume a lot can clip the loudest peaks. If a recording is simply quiet, “Normalize loudness” is the safer choice: it brings it to about −16 LUFS and keeps peaks below −1.5 dB.
Is the video re-encoded?
No. Only the audio track is processed; the picture is copied as is, so its quality does not change and it is fast.
Is it free?
