Frequently asked questions
Does splitting reduce the quality?
Not for audio and not with the fast video cut: the streams are copied as they are, without re-encoding. The exact video cut re-encodes each part, so it takes longer, with barely visible losses.
Why are the video parts slightly different in length?
The fast cut can only start a part at a keyframe, so each boundary moves to the first keyframe after the point you set. If you need cuts to the exact frame, choose the exact cut.
