Frequently asked questions
Why can I still hear some of the voice?
The tool removes what sounds the same in both channels. Reverb and backing vocals are often spread to the sides, so traces of them may stay. It works best with studio recordings; live and mono recordings separate poorly.
Why did the instruments become quieter too?
Bass, kick drum and often a solo instrument also sit in the centre. Keep “Keep the bass” on to bring the low end back; other centred instruments are removed together with the voice.
