Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will the file get?
A WAV or FLAC usually shrinks 10–15 times. An MP3 at 320 kbps becomes about 3 times smaller at 96 kbps. If the file is already compressed more than the chosen quality, you will be asked to choose a lower one.
Which quality should I choose for speech?
For podcasts, lectures and voice messages “Low” or “Smallest” in mono is plenty: speech stays clear, and the file is many times smaller. Keep “High” for music.
